Dr. R. Hafeez Basha

Dr. R. Hafeez Basha has a Distinction of visiting 13+ countries with full funding & Track-Record of 114+ Invited Talks at Institutes of repute both in India & Abroad. He was featured in 200+ newspaper articles and television channels, his biography ‘CHASER – On A Journey of Transformation’ was written by former editor of Deccan Chronicle and published by uLektz books which is now under film-making by leading Cinema Industry. His extended biography ‘CHASER 2 – On A Journey of Inspiration’ is currently being written by Shri. Amit Kapoor, Senior Director, Cigniti Technologies Ltd. that features some of his students who made it big in their respective careers which is expected to be published in December 2024.
He is presently CEO for Ashoka Innovazi (A-Hub) the Technology Business Incubator (TBI) of the Ashoka School of Business (ASB-Hyderabad) which is the first B-School in the country offering Technology Blended Management Programs. In addition to this he is serving as an Advisor at Engineering Staff College of India (ESCI) an autonomous organ of The Institution of Engineers (IE-India) where he is setting-up a world class TBI with focus on core engineering disciplines. After his two years stint he was elevated from CEO to Advisor at Osmania TBI, Osmania University which is funded with Rs. 107+ crores by the Ministry of Education under the scheme Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA 2.0). Prior to this he was the CEO for Chandigarh University TBI funded with Rs. 10 crores by the Ministry of Science and Technology under the scheme of DST-NSTEDB. He was Incubation Manager at Bala Vikasa Center for Social and Responsible Business (BV-CSRB). He was also Dean / Director at Lords Institute of Engg. & Tech., Bharat Institute of Engg. & Tech. and OSD to Protem Chancellor, K L University, Guntur in the past.
Some of the Government engagements include Institute Management Committee (IMC Member) at National Skill Training Institute (NSTI-Hyderabad) and Coordinator, National Instructional Media Institute (NIMI-Chennai), Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE). Startup Mentor at Entrepreneurship Development Centre, Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) and Atal Innovation Mission, NITI-Aayog for their AICs, ACICs and ATLs. He was Advisor for the National Educational Alliance for Technology (NEAT) of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE); Member, National Rural Entrepreneurship Mission, Mahatma Gandhi National Council for Rural Education (MGNCRE); Institute Nodal Officer for Unnat Bharath Abhiyan (UBA); Vidyanjali Higher Education Programme, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan; Kalam Program for IP Literacy and Awareness (KAPILA) and President / Convener, Institute Innovation Council under Ministry of Education Innovation Cell. He also served the prestigious Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) as Advisor / Expert - Civil Services Exams (Preliminary). He was Selection Committee Member – National Centre for Additive Manufacturing (NCAM), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY).
He started his career with Satyam Computers Ltd. as Geographical Information System (GIS) Engineer after completing his Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech) in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU Hyderabad). He did his Master of Technology (M. Tech) in Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) from Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur with sponsorship from Thomson Reuters Corporation under ‘Learn While You Earn’ Program during his stay as the Research Analyst. He did his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph. D) from Kumamoto University, Japan with Monbukagakusho i.e. MEXT scholarship from the Government of Japan where he was a recipient of ‘Dean’s Award for Research Excellence’ during the convocation. He was also part of Summer School at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT), Vietnam & Winter School at Université Blaise Pascal, France. He later did his Post-Doctoral Fellowship (PDF) from the Energy Studies Institute, National University of Singapore. He was Officer-on-Special Duty (OSD) to the Vice Chancellor at K L University and after returning to India he worked as Director / Dean in various Engineering Colleges such as Lords, Ashoka & Bharat Institutions.

Dr. B. Prasada Rao, IPS Retd.
Ex-DGP, Andhra Pradesh

Late Dr. Bayyarapu Prasada Rao served as the last Director General of Police (DGP) of erstwhile Andhra Pradesh State and later Secretary (Internal Security), Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. In addition to his regular police duty, he had immense passion towards Physics and even setup a lab in his house for doing experiments. He did his Ph. D from Sri Krishnadevaraya University, published research papers in Journals and even filed for Patents. After his retirement he worked as a Director in an engineering college where he supervised Dr. Hafeez.

Both of them worked together on few projects related to Waste Management & Renewable Energy and also commissioned a biogas plant at their college campus and at some of the industries. They promoted Free International Education for the benefit of students aspiring to study abroad with the help of respective embassies. He authored a book “Word Power to Mind Power”, a unique method of learning and memorizing English vocabulary by applying visualization and contextualization.

Dr. S. K. Chaudhuri
Director Retd., RCI-DRDO

Dr. Subir Kumar Chaudhuri was an Outstanding Scientist and Director Retd., Research Centre Imarat (RCI), Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO). He was recipient of commonwealth scholarship and did his Ph. D from Cranfield University, UK. Even though he had opportunities abroad he returned to India on the insistence of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam (Former President of India) who was then his supervisor at the Ministry of Defence. He became direct boss to Dr. R. Hafeez Basha after the later similarly returned to India from Japan.

Both of them discussed regularly about CHASER Missile that uses Artificial Intelligence Technology. They also worked together on various Sponsored Research Projects including the one from Electronics and Radar Development Establishment (LRDE), Bengaluru. Dr. Chaudhuri received the prestigious Prime Minister’s Award, Vikram Sarabhai Award, Scientist of the Year Award by DRDO, etc. He is Fellow of Indian National Academy of Engineering (FNAE) and Life Member, Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
